Punjab Workers’ Welfare Board PWWB provides all-inclusive scholarships to workers or miners and their children for single-degree COMSATS programs. Lahore along with the Islamabad Campus, COMSATS has set aside a 30 %(percent) quota in all single degree programs for the worker or their children. The deadline for applications to COMSATS worker’s welfare scholarship is 22 December 2021. Admissions to the Labour Quota seats on scholarships are available in Islamabad as well as Lahore Campus.

Scholarship Continuation

This scholarship is available for a maximum period of eight semesters, or the total length of the student’s degree program. If the student is required to repeat an entire semester or course the student must pay the required amount as per CIIT rules and rules and regulations.

A yearly stipend will be paid to the students according to the following:

Class Fees
Class One to five 1200/- PKR
Class six to eight: 15000/- PKR
Class Nine to Ten:  18,000/- PKR
3. Class Eleven to twelve: 24,000/- PKR
 Graduate: /BSc / Com /BA / (Any degree of fourteen years)  30,000/- PKR
Graduate: BA/BSc/B.Com (Any degree of fourteen years 40,000/- PKR
Postgraduate/ BBA /Masters/BS/Medical/Engineering 60,000/-PKR
Postgraduate/BBA/Masters/BS/ Engineering /Medical 80,000/PKR

Eligibility for Worker / Miner

  • The worker / miner meets the definition of worker given in the Industrial Relations Act 2012 and is protected by EOBI or social security and has a total tenure of at least three years. The worker / miner is protected under EOBI or social security have Must.
  • In case of non-protection, an affidavit is certified by Notary Public and also certified by the concerned Director / Assistant Director Labor Welfare / Assistant Mise Labor Welfare Commissioner or his authorized entity in which the accuracy of his data is verified. Also, sign two bids ie employer and CBA President / General Secretary.
  • The worker / miner must be registered under the relevant Factories Act or the Mice Act or pay 2% of the Workers ‘Welfare Fund / 5% of the Workers’ Participation Act.
  • The children of the deceased Karkanan / Kananan will also be eligible for the stipend provided that his widow / legal heirs have received a death grant from the Punjab Welfare Workers Fund.
